ELIGIBILITY FOR DIRECT MBBS ADMISSION IN KARNATAKA
- Candidates must have passed their 10+2 exam from any recognised board with a minimum of 50% for general category candidates and 40% for candidates in reserved categories.
- Candidates must have completed physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English in their Class 12 or equivalent test.

PROCEDURE FOR DIRECT MBBS ADMISSION IN KARNATAKA
To qualify for MBBS seats, applicants must complete the NEET UG entrance exam. Candidates who pass the NEET UG entrance exam must sign up for counseling at MCC India and/or KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority). Candidate options for selecting their preferred institutes will be presented after registration is complete. Based on the candidates’ selections and additional considerations like NEET scores, the counseling authorities would subsequently allocate seats based on availability.

The NTA offers both a State and an All India NEET counseling program-
Seats based on the state Quota for NEET Undergraduate Counseling: State NEET Counseling is performed for admissions to 85% of seats in government institutions and all seats in private medical/dental institutions in the state.
All India Quota MCC Counseling Procedure: The AIQ NEET counseling process is the only way to apply for 15% of the seats in all government medical and dental colleges, all seats at deemed universities and central universities, all seats at Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), and all seats at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), including Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
